IHL Executive Management Training

International Healthcare Leadership’s executive management training program provides a unique interdisciplinary education with partners like the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. On a yearly basis, IHL provides up to 30 spots for emerging healthcare leaders selected by our partners at the Chinese Ministry of Health and the American Chamber of Commerce in China.

The executive programs are designed for healthcare professionals who come from a range of careers including government agencies, hospitals, and other healthcare enterprises. The education provides participants with a world-class experience with faculty members in the Columbia University Department of Health Policy and Management whoa are at the forefront of influencing the healthcare system using a unique combination of case studies, simulations and collaborative learning. The program also includes real world opportunities to explore how theories and models are applied to the realities of the workplace with other partners such as the New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

The program is a cohort-based experience and is generally 1-2 weeks, culminating in executives receiving a certificate in healthcare management training from IHL and the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Session including strategic thinking, organizational leadership, healthcare economics and financial management, change management, and leading high performance teams.

The IHL’s executive training program first landed in New York city in December 2014 (Read More), and made a huge success. A new round of delivery of the program was launched in August 2016. In 2019, IHL hosted two delegations of Chinese hospital presidents and/or government officials to the U.S. for a management curriculum, while in 2018, we hosted a delegation of 30 Chinese hospital presidents and/or government officials. This complemented IHL’s comprehensive online program introduced in 2020 that offers webinars, video libraries & social media campaigns. These online events have attracted over 30,000 viewers worldwide.
